We are waiting to go to Bannu and visit the hospital where the Afaghnastan wounded are brought for care it is near the boarder.
We have been throught the hosipatl this morning in Pehswar. Very ole, out of date and crumbling, but they are extermely proud of the whole facility. They are doing an exceptional job in a day care 4+ hours a day for the mentally handicapied children. They are a true ezample in this area.

We worshipped with the whole hospital staff for 30 minutes in the oldest structure in the city .Rev Robbie Vickery who is also with us (St. Mic haels in Austin (St. Stephens SChool) gave the sermon about healing and his son' attempted suicede 2 years ago Jan 29th. Very emoitional and to the heart about the healing power and part of the doctors.

We went to the earthquake zone onThrusday spent the night in a Muslim village that then DOP is supporting ...an unbelievable act of reconcilation. The msulim men served and cared for us with unbelievable care and concern. The tent school is a dream of disciplen in the open air. Girls out side their tent blew away! The children are well taken care of with the limited means available..

DOP has replaced their 60 buffalo...what a treat to be in a small low ceiling barn with three of the adult beloved animals and one baby! It brought new meaning to the term "fresh air".

The DOP has brought a ban saw for them and the men who run the saw are ever so proud of their product they sell the use of the saw (they run it). they pay "rent" for the saw, and when all is done make US $54 a onth......avery good wage here. this is part of the enterprise that we are interested in .

We have visited many sewing centers and seen the work of the women. I do not believe it is of commercial quality, but they can at least clothe their families.

Love in Christ,
Sheryl
